Professor of Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Head of the Irish Centre for Genetic Lung Disease, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Ireland, and Founder of the Alpha-1 Foundation of Ireland. Prof. McElvaney’s main research areas are in AATD, chronic obstructive lung disease and cystic fibrosis.
