Gaozhong Zhu, Ph.D., is Senior Vice President of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) & Technical Operations at Korro Bio, with more than 25 years of industrial experience in developing and implementing CMC strategies for various types of pharmaceuticals, with a proven track record of bringing new products from conception to commercialization.

 

Before arriving at Korro, Dr. Zhu was Senior Vice President of Pharmaceutical Development at Eagle Pharmaceuticals, responsible for new product development and clinical manufacturing. Prior to that, Dr. Zhu was Vice President and Head of Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing at Corvidia Therapeutics, bringing expertise in overall CMC development of biologics and synthetic peptides.  Dr. Zhu held positions of increasing responsibility at Shire and Biogen, where he contributed to successful development and launch of several major products across different therapeutic areas. Dr. Zhu is an inventor of multiple patents in drug delivery and formulations. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from The Ohio State University and B.S./M.S. in Chemistry from Peking University.
